MARK ON THE MIND AND HAND
In his popular book 100 Answers, Pat Robertson cites Colossians 2:16-17 as his defense in believing its okay to worship God on any seventh day. But these verses refer to the yearly Sabbaths and to the ceremonial meat and drink offerings -- and the Sabbath of creation week was never "a shadow of things to come." It was not, nailed to the cross -- the charges of our sins were.
Christ warned his disciples and followers to flee Jerusalem when the temple would be destroyed. "Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day." [MAT 24:20] This event happened in 70 A.D. nearly forty years after Christ was gone. The weekly Sabbath was still intact. "Till heaven and earth pass," said Jesus. "Not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." If the Law of God could have been changed or abrogated, then Christ need not have suffered the consequences of out transgression. Man can attempt to change the law, but our Lord and all of heaven know that it is not changed. Not one tiny bit.
Suppose you decided to celebrate your birthday on another day. Or started to tell everyone your age was years and years younger than it was. While you've changed the observance of it, you haven't actually changed your date of birth, which is locked in history. And you'll still end your life at a time relative to when you were truely born. The same applied to the Law of God, we can say whatever we want, but it doesn't change fact.
In these last days there is the most fearful warning that must be dealt with by every Christian: "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God." [REV 14:9-10]
The Papacy is the "beast," Sunday worship is its "mark," and legislated Sunday worship shall be the "image" to the beast.
If you willingly accept and go along with enforced Sunday Laws, you have placed "the mark of the beast" in your forehead, in your mind --
And if you don't really "believe" in all of it, but go along with it out of convenience (by treating the Sabbath as any other day of work, and not working on Sunday "as ordered"), you will have taken the mark on your hand.
Now please understand this: there have been and are many very good Christ-loving Catholic Christians. It is the system that God objects to -- up until the time when Sunday blue laws take away religious freedom in American, God "winks" at people's ignorance of His Sabbath truth, it's not held against them... [ACTS 17:30]
BUT! When the Sunday blue law is passed, the Sabbath will also be fully revealed. Then there will be no excuse: All who choose "Sunday" then will receive the Mark of the Beast.
At the "Second Coming" Christ will return to our world for His remnant church. The righteous dead that shall be resurrected shall come from all parts of the globe, and from numerous religious background -- but there will be only one "remnant church" from which people shall be translated when the world sees the Lord in the clouds at the second coming. It will be those who:
Keep the Commandments of God --and-- have the Testimony of Jesus Christ
[REV 12:17]
And no matter how hard it is to accept, there is only one type of church that fills this firm requirement: churches that observe and keep the seventh day sabbath.
See, Catholics and the majority of Protestant religions worship on Sunday, the mark of the Papal authority; the Jews, most of them, do not accept Christ... Islam turns away from Christ and His Sabbath.. "Secular" and atheistic people turn from all religon, and spiritualists turn to the lies of the fallen angels.
